Going back to the source

I took a break from the Sherbourne over Christmas so I came back to it at the start of this year with a fresh pair of eyes. I decided to take another trip back to the source, and really take my time to think about what I was doing, even using my tripod!

I parked the car up on Hawkes Mill Lane where the river passes under, walked back to the source and then followed the course of the river back down to the car.

So there is still a lot of green around, although significantly less that before christmas so it is easier to see the river.

I had a little bit of a focusing problem to start with. I'm guessing this was a combination of slow shutter speeds and uneven ground causing the camera to move so I found that holding the tripod helped with this.

It was rather a grey day, as I guess you would expect it to be in January, which works out pretty well I think. I didn't have and dark shadows to contend with.
